You are now listening to Leverage for Growth. Everybody, this is Jesse Gilmore, founder of Niche and Control and creator of Leverage for Growth. Welcome to the Daily Leverage Edition. Today’s topic is this: Compressing Time. Sit back, relax, and welcome to today’s Daily Leverage. So this morning I was doing my morning routine of stacking and envisioning success for the week.
00:00:26:18 – 00:00:47:15
Jesse P. Gilmore
On Sundays, I do a weekly review and report that aligns me with the facts of today with what I’m committed to accomplishing this year. During this weekly review, I came to the realization that if I just sacrificed this upcoming week for writing the first draft of the Leverage for Growth book, I would be so much closer to achieving my goals this year.
00:00:48:20 – 00:01:11:00
Jesse P. Gilmore
The timing of when to start and what process to follow and what content or strategies or stories to include has put me in this mode of analysis paralysis that I am consciously choosing to change for myself. I have decided to write the first draft of the book this week. Is it going to be perfect? No. Is it going to need a lot of editing?
00:01:11:06 – 00:01:33:20
Jesse P. Gilmore
Absolutely. Is it going to get me a lot closer to finishing the book and getting it ready to publish this month? Definitely. One thing that I’ve learned about doing these impossible games is that time is a figment of our imagination and is subject to change based around attention and intention. The idea of writing a book was something that I originally thought would take me all year.
00:01:34:11 – 00:01:56:23
Jesse P. Gilmore
However, as I continued to talk about it, hearing from others about how they wrote their books and realizing how much content and material I have already, I decided to create a weekly target that many people would consider absolutely impossible. However, for me, it’s just another week. How we perceive time and our ability to accomplish the things that we are set out to accomplish

determines our results. I want to break free of any limiting beliefs that I’ve picked up along the way. In the previous episode, you heard me talk about imposter syndrome and how it says I’m systematically disassociating with that previous identity that I called struggling Jesse. This is how I will squash struggling Jesse for good. The book is not simply a book.
00:02:19:18 – 00:02:48:16
Jesse P. Gilmore
It is a transformation, a representation of the transformation that is happening within me. With this book, I will be able to share my life and lessons with others and impact the world in a way that I felt called to do with the only true intention being to transform myself in the process. So why is this important? Many times as entrepreneurs, we limit ourselves through our own perceptions and beliefs of what is possible for us.
00:02:49:12 – 00:03:15:20
Jesse P. Gilmore
This is how many of us have been raised that have not come from entrepreneurial families. We view our capabilities through the lens of others and associate a certain time frame with when something can be accomplished. However, with the correct amount of attention and intention, we can decide to compress time and bring what seemed impossible into reality. And less time than you think.
00:03:16:15 – 00:03:38:04
Jesse P. Gilmore
In doing so, we move into a next higher version of ourselves that is waiting. So now it is time for daily leverage. So where in your world, whether in your life or business, have you been limiting your own capabilities through associating a certain amount of time required to get your result? Is it in your life with your health and body?
00:03:38:17 – 00:04:03:13
Jesse P. Gilmore
Is it in your life with your spirituality or self-direction? Is it in your relationships with your spouse, partner, or kids? Is it in your business, finances or team? Now, once you’ve located where you’ve been limiting your own capabilities and associating a length of time required for you to succeed. And you know what you need to accomplish? Ask yourself this What am I willing and able to do about it today?
00:04:04:07 – 00:05:42:10
