You are not at the whim of circumstance. You are in control of the patterns in your life once you become aware of them. There is a part of you that must decide that enough is enough. Never again will you fall victim to patterns of behavior that no longer serve you.

You are now listening to Leverage for Growth. Hey everybody this is Jesse P. Gilmore founder of Niche in Control and creator of the Leverage for Growth, welcome to the daily leverage edition.
Today’s topic is this “Never Again”. Sit back, relax and welcome to today’s daily leverage.
So this morning, I was doing my morning routine of stacking and reflecting on the patterns of behavior that I had in my previous businesses.
Prior to Niche in Control, I had formed and owned three other businesses that I experienced a build and burn pattern with
If you are not familiar with the build and burn patterns that entrepreneurs have ingrained in them, usually the entrepreneurs that are first generation entrepreneurs
The build and burn pattern in business is where you might do all the right things and focus on building
The building process leads to create something new in the business, new service, new product, new clients
You are in a building or expansion mode
Then when you reach a peak with the build, you are start to stop doing the things that were working
You may become complacent with the building and you start to cap your own potential
You may come into a lot of money and then start spending a lot of money
Which starts a drift from the peak towards normal or average
Then if it is not caught and the behavior continues, you end up in the pit
You start to run out of money
You are making decisions that might look good short term but long term they are crippling your business
This is when you have burned what you built to the ground
Then the process starts over again with another build
From rock bottom, you start the build and get to another peak, make decisions that start to burn it to the ground and the cycle continues
The build and burn pattern in entrepreneurs is one of the things that I have become extremely aware of and am able to help clients with
Being able to catch them when they start to drift so that they can continue to rise
This build and burn pattern is part of human existence and the patterns of existence
Think of your mind and behaviors as a thermostat
When what is happening in your world is going too far away from what is considered “normal”
You start to adjust to regress back to the mean
You subconsciously start to try to equalize
The average of the peaks and pits is what you consider to be normal
This is how most people operate in their day to day
However, when you are aware of these patterns, you are able to course correct earlier and earlier
Redefining for yourself what is normal
To no longer continue to be average but rather extraordinary
You are not at the whim of circumstance
You are in control of these patterns once you become aware of them
There is a part of you that must decide that enough is enough
That never again will you continue this build and burn pattern
Never again will you simply be average
Never again will you be ordinary
Never again will you fall victim to patterns of behavior that no longer serve you
You must make a decision
This decision can be the difference between spinning your wheels and not going anywhere
Or creating the life and business that you desire
It all comes from a decision to say
Never again
Why is this important?
Many times as entrepreneurs, we have patterns of existence that either build us up or break us down
With the freedom of entrepreneurship, everything rests on us
It is up to us to make the changes in our lives and businesses
We must work harder on us than anything else
The more we work on the inside and getting the inside right
The more things start to happen naturally and at ease, rather than force
The more aware we are of our own behaviors and patterns, the easier it is to notice them and course correct before heading to the pit
It all comes from a decision
A decision that you can make today
A decision that never again will you burn what you have built to the ground
A decision to rise to your highest potential
Today and every day
The daily commitment to yourself
Now it is time for daily leverage.
Where in your world whether in your life or business, have you been in a pattern of behavior that no longer serves you?
Is it in your life with your health or body?
Is it in your life with your spirituality or self-direction?
Is it in your relationships with your spouse, partner or kids?
Is it in your business or finances or team?
Once you have located where you have been in a pattern of behavior that no longer serves you and you know what you need to change.
My question to you is this…
What are you willing and able to do about it today?
