Episode 53 – Adjusting to the new normal
Theme when there is a lot of change and effort focused on building and the launch has happened, focus on adjusting to the new normal and make it simple
You are now listening to Leverage for Growth. Hey everybody this is Jesse P. Gilmore founder of Niche in Control and creator of the Leverage for Growth, welcome to the daily leverage edition.
Today’s topic is this “Adjusting to the new normal”. Sit back, relax and welcome to today’s daily leverage.
So this morning, I was doing my morning routine of stacking and reflecting on all of the work that we, at Niche in Control, have been doing behind the scenes to get our business and marketing strategy launched and integrated.
At the time of this recording, we have just launched the agency leverage episodes for the full first week and have the next week or so scheduled out.
All of the build portion is done and we can finally breathe again without constantly building.
It feels good.
This is the time in the Leverage for Growth method that we adjust to the new normal by setting up the documentation and training to solidify the new standard of operating that we just created.
Over the next week, we will be documenting best practices, getting everything out of our heads and into systems and procedures so the work can be shared by the team.
We have this build, launch and stabilize routine down to science now and this is what we teach our clients to do as well
The key is to understand when it is time to make a change, how to make the change successfully, and then how to make it the new normal
When we change too many things and not go through the stabilize stage, people get confused, quality suffers and people within the team begin to not understand what is priority and burnout can come in if it is not caught earlier.
It is up to us as leaders of our businesses to set the direction, guide the team and get the systems updated with each change.
By doing so, we create an organizational culture by design and come to realize our vision a lot sooner than we could have imagined.
Q1 was the foundation build.
Q2 will be the program improvement and generate more case studies from our two programs (course, mastermind)
Time to adjust to the new normal and grow
Why is this important?
Many times as entrepreneurs, we focus on making the necessary changes within the business to fit our vision
For many of us, it is not a shortage of ideas that we have that hold us back from Growth
It is actually indigestion of ideas
Having too many ideas and not having a solid process for housing then, evaluating them, selecting them, executing them and building them into our business successfully
It is up to us to guide the teams to adjust to the new normal
It is never perfect but always needed to make the changes and adjust to the environment we are in
By adjusting to the new normal after a change is made or a build process is completed, we are able to provide our team with what they need to succeed long term
Now it is time for daily leverage.
Where in your world whether in your life or business, have you been in a consistent change or build phase and have not slowed down to stabilize after a change has been made?
Is it in your life with your health or body?
Is it in your life with your spirituality or self-direction?
Is it in your relationships with your spouse, partner or kids?
Is it in your business or finances or team?
Once you have located where you have been skipping the adjustment to a new normal and you know what you need to change.
My question to you is this…
What are you willing and able to do about it today?
That is the end of our daily leverage. This is Jesse P. Gilmore and you have been listening to the Leverage for Growth podcast.
