You are now listening to Leverage for Growth. Hey everybody this is Jesse P. Gilmore founder of Niche in Control and creator of the Leverage for Growth, welcome to the daily leverage edition. 

Today’s topic is this “Staying on Track When Life Throws You Curveballs”. Sit back, relax and welcome to today’s daily leverage.

 

So this morning, I was doing my morning routine of stacking and reflecting on this week’s realignment to our long term growth plan  

 

This week, Jeremy, our operations manager, is on vacation and I have taken on both of our roles to cover in his absence  

 

During this time, I have realized and appreciated the work that Jeremy does for Niche in Control as well as found many areas for improvement

 

As you know, we have released the agency leverage episodes and have a new process for the pre-production, production and post-production process and we released the new process right before he left for vacation

 

I had plans for what I wanted to focus on this week but with the change in our routines, I have had to adjust the plans to focus on the operations role and getting set up for scale with these agency leverage episodes so they aren’t draining our time and resources to get them out into the world

 

Our goal is to release more than one agency episode a day to meet the demand for our podcast interviews  

 

This means we have to become very efficient at the process before, during and after the podcast interview 

 

Making it a smooth experience for our guests  

 

So yesterday I started work earlier than I usually do so that I could focus on our Leverage for Growth building scalable systems process

 

Using the same tools, processes and workflows that we teach our clients but towards our own business

 

Through the time spent documenting the process, I found multiple ways of making the process better, faster, and stronger

 

Easier to delegate

 

Easier to communicate

 

Easier to manage at volume

 

Just like we teach our clients to do

 

With every new process or offering, we have to integrate it back into our business operating system

 

The agency leverage episodes are new and can be streamlined

 

High production value and quantity

 

High podcast guest experience

 

What I found was that this week started off feeling like I was behind, that I was going off track

 

But now I feel that this is all part of our long term growth plan

 

If you see what we are doing, you will realize the benefits of having this process in place  

 

However, without a long term growth plan, we would constantly feel behind, thrown off course, and not be able to course correct

 

The key to staying on track when life throws you curveballs is simply to have a long term growth plan

 

Having a growth plan that you can fall back on

 

Having a plan for success that you can realign back to

 

Having a process for assessing where you are and where you need to be

 

Having a review and planning process to bridge the gap

 

This is what we do for our clients and what I do in my free consultations

Why is this important?

 

Many times as entrepreneurs, we may make plans for the month, week or quarter 

 

We have high hopes that this is going to be our time to succeed

 

We get started on the plan and life throws us a curveball that we weren’t expecting

 

We deal with the issue and then feel like we are off track

 

The time that it takes for us to adjust and get back on track matters

 

The time that we are focused on the “how” of getting back on track is wasted unless we have a long term growth plan in place that we can fall back on

 

Before working together, many of our agency clients did not have a strategic path towards going from 6 to 7 figures

 

Or building their agency to be sellable

 

Or creating the agency to run without them working IN it

 

There is nothing more challenging than having a dream and a goal but not have a path

 

Fix this today by getting a long term growth plan for you and your agency

 

With a plan, it is much easier to stay on track when life throws you curveballs

 

Now it is time for daily leverage.
