You are now listening to Leverage for Growth. Hey everybody this is Jesse P. Gilmore founder of Niche in Control and creator of the Leverage for Growth, welcome to the daily leverage edition.
Today’s topic is this “Navigating Life’s Transitions”. Sit back, relax and welcome to today’s daily leverage.

So this morning, I was doing my morning routine of stacking and reflecting on the last few days of winter turning into spring here in Minnesota.

The birds are chirping, the snow is melting and for my son, allergies have begun

This morning my son was getting ready for preschool and continued to keep sneezing and saying his eyes were itching

This is his first full year of seasons here in Minnesota and is not used to allergies here

He is also not into taking medicine and is very stubborn

We offered him the kids allergy medicine to help him not feel so allergic while he plays outside today

He rejected the offer as expected and no matter what we did, he had made up his mind

He was fighting the change in seasons and not going with the flow which will lead towards him having to learn the hard way

Similarly, there are changes in the business landscape with the revolution of AI into the business and personal life as disruption begins to speed up

There are some that embrace and ride the waves of the changes

While others resist and fight the changes, wishing life would go back to the way it was before

Every day it seems that we have a choice of either accepting the changes that are happening or resisting the changes

It is not as though every change in life is one that you would perceive as wanted or that you must be willing to accept right away

Everyone has a different method for handling change but the truth is that change is inevitable

Evolution is part of the game here in life

Every season changes

Not just seasons of the year like fall, winter, spring and summer

But also seasons of life

I talk about this is greater detail within the Leverage for Growth Accelerator course and I will take a piece of one of the lessons and dive a little deeper into it now, then we will come back and see how it applies to you right now

Each season of life brings some opportunity and perspective and if you understand what season of life you’re in, you will be able to flow with it and capitalize on it.

Accepting and embracing the season is how to benefit the most from this evolution of the seasons and development of self.

During the winter season of life, there is a time of decreased activity. There are fewer prospects and projects that have become dormant.

This becomes a good time to take stock and evaluate the path that you’re taking right now, and increase your knowledge and create a plan for the upcoming seasons.

Winter is a time to pause and consider how to move forward.

Before you begin to birth in spring, you must conceive in winter.

This is where you bring all the lessons from the earlier seasons into winter.

That way you can create the path that works out best for you.

So if you’re in a winter season right now, but you’re trying to work against the grain, and things are constantly not working out, it may not be the time to birth something brand new.

Instead, take time to pause and reflect, and understand the lessons of life that were learned in the previous seasons.

That way you can best create a plan for the next season.

The next season after winter is spring.

Spring is where opportunities arise, and every contact, question and lead is an opportunity.

During spring, it is best if you’re in this time to take advantage of those opportunities.

Spring is not a time to rest.

This is a time to have a sense of urgency because you don’t know how long the duration of a spring season will happen.

So, it’s not a time to rest.

You must commit to preparing the soil for the best success in the future business.

Signify what is new in your life, and what is being birthed.

This is an exciting time where the energy that you put into winter through creating a plan that takes into account all previous lessons learned, then you execute on that plan and you start moving in the direction you planned, opportunities come your way.

Spring is where the seeds are planted.

Spring leads into summer.

Now, summer is in between sowing and reaping.

Following the seasons, a farmer pays close attention to their crops in summer.

Similarly, it’s important for you to pay attention to the individuals or businesses that are the heart of your business and nurture those relationships.

Summer is when you must cast a vision of your business and narrow your focus.

This is the time where too many opportunities have arisen, and you’re trying to meet the demands of each one of these opportunities, but you’re not able to focus.

So summer is a time to shift to focus on what matters and pluck the weeds and water your plants. If something’s not serving you, this is the time to get rid of it, and eliminate whatever is stopping you from your growth.

Summer is time to evaluate the parts of your life to determine which ones are best, and focus on those by eliminating anything that’s not working for you.

Because as we move into fall, fall is a harvest time.

This is where, if you’ve planted the good seeds in the spring and cultivated good relationships in the summer, your harvest- time in the fall will be bountiful.

Fall is when you start to see things that started in the spring are coming to an end, and it’s time to reflect on the things that have ended.

Fall is a time to think about the things that have ended and rejoice in those that have ended well, and learn from those that did not end as well.

Fall is a time to reflect and grow from the process and prepare for winter because you’re about to go through that same cycle all over again.

So as a summary of the seasons of life. Winter is where you plan your next move.

Spring is when you take advantage of opportunities and move forward with the plan.

Summer is when you narrow your focus and cultivate the right relationships.

Fall is when you reflect and learn from the process.

Why is this important?

As you look at these four seasons of life, ask yourself what season of life you’re in right now.

Wherever you may be, it’s important for you to acknowledge it for what it is and accept it.

That way you can understand how to position yourself and work with it.

In that season, don’t paddle upstream against the current of your life because all suffering comes from an attachment to a season of life that has already passed.

Now it is time for daily leverage.

Where in your world whether in your life or business, have you been ignoring or not accepting the season of life that you are in today and working against life’s transition?

Is it in your life with your health or body?

Is it in your life with your spirituality or self-direction?

Is it in your relationships with your spouse, partner or kids?

Is it in your business or finances or team?

Once you have located where you have been working against the season of life that you are in and you know what you need to change.

My question to you is this…

What are you willing and able to do about it today?
