You are now listening to Leverage for Growth. Hey, everybody, This is Jesse Gilmore, a founder of Niche and Control and creator of the Leverage for Growth. Welcome to the Daily Leverage edition. Today’s topic is this. Go all in on you. Sit back, relax, and welcome to today’s The New Leverage. So this morning I was doing my morning routine of stacking and reflected on a mastermind that was part of last week and it was really focused on leveling up in all areas of life.

At the same time, we got ready for a second day of this two day event and the activity that started off was a wall set. So for those of you that do not know what a wall set is, it’s where you put your back flat against the wall. You bend your knees at a 90 degree angle. You put your hands above your head without your hands touching or with your hands touching.
00;00;54;27 – 00;01;15;07
Jesse P. Gilmore
And then you keep that position for as long as you can. But there are rules. And one rule is, is that if your hands stop touching each other, you get two strikes and you’re out. If you adjust your legs or footing, you get two strikes and you’re out. If your hands come down from the position and touch your head, you were out.

The goal is to go all in. Just give it 100%. So as I prepared myself, I focused on my technique. And once I got in that wall set, I focus on breathing. And I could hear the thoughts in my head as my mind tried to find a way out. One minute went by. I had a good rhythm of breathing to keep my mind in check.

The second minute went by. I started to sweat and I was feeling this burning in my legs and it started to make me get a little bit distracted by this. The facilitator talking about people giving up or dropping down. And I was determined to not be that guy. So reading and a third minute went by, and by this time my legs are shaking and trembling and aching to be a bit repositioned.
00;02;07;12 – 00;02;25;16
Jesse P. Gilmore
My hands felt so heavy and I continued to breathe and I was remembering why I was there. I was there because I wanted to level up my life and business in all areas, and the goal was to give it my all. And the fourth minute went by and by this time I was getting distracted. My legs were trembling so hard I could barely focus on anything else.
00;02;25;29 – 00;02;50;01
Jesse P. Gilmore
Given my all, given my all. But before the fifth minute was up, I fell. After about 2 minutes of not being able to walk, I gathered myself and decided to reflect on what this experience had taught me. The facilitator came around and asked us, you know, honestly, tell us, did we actually give it our all? All 100% of everything that we had in us.
00;02;50;13 – 00;03;10;05
Jesse P. Gilmore
And many of us said yes. But then we realized that we probably could have gone on for another second or more at the least. So maybe we were giving it like a 97 or a 98%. And the question was then where else is this really showing up for you in your life, where you’re giving that 97 or 98% and not giving it all?
00;03;11;23 – 00;03;33;07
Jesse P. Gilmore
So why is this important? Many times as entrepreneurs, we say that we’re giving it our all, but inside we’re actually holding ourselves back. For some reason, we have thought that we have like this picture of what giving it all is when actuality. You have so much more that you can give. Now it is time for the daily leverage.
00;03;33;18 – 00;03;51;29
Jesse P. Gilmore
So where in your world, whether in your life or business, have you been reluctant to go all in on you as in your life with your health and body? Is it in your life with your spirituality? Self-direction? Is it in your relationships with your spouse, your partner, Your kids? Is it in your business with your finances in time?
00;03;53;16 – 00;04;12;04

Now, once you’ve located where you’ve been stalling the action required to move your life and business forward? My question is this: What are you willing and able to do about it today? So that is the end of daily leverage. This is Jesse Gilmore and you’ve been listening to the Leverage for Growth podcast.
