You are now listening to Leverage for Growth. Hey everybody, this is Jesse P. Gilmore, founder of Niche in Control and creator of Leverage for Growth. Welcome to the Daily Leverage Edition. Today’s topic is this, from couch potato to agency champion. Sit back, relax, and welcome to today’s Daily Leverage. So today’s topic is gonna be focused on the connection between fitness and business performance. And this is especially significant for agency owners that are at the six-figure level, trying to get to seven figures, because ultimately a lot of times we think that in order for us to achieve a seven-figure business, that we must sacrifice other areas of our life, including our health. And studies have found that there’s a science behind the connection between fitness and business performance, which ultimately leads towards a couple different main kind of topics. One of them is based around improved energy levels and focus. So when you have regular exercise, it can lead towards increased levels of energy, better focus, being able to be more effective at the work that you’re doing. And one of the things that we teach our agency clients is really just the simple yes or no daily action that you can take, which is, did I sweat today? Doesn’t matter what you’re doing. If you do that on a daily basis, where the majority of your days include sweating, it basically starts to set up this connection between fitness and business performance. And in addition to improved energy levels and focus, being able to focus on fitness allows you to handle more stress. So there is a lot of different stressors that come from an entrepreneur that might also be married and also have children. And… Being able to manage stress, regardless of what is happening in your world, is ultimately one of the benefits that come from exercise. And being able to have a way of managing the different stressors allows you to have better mental health, focus while you’re working, being able to make decisions based around what is best for you. And overall, being able to invest in yourself, in your body, in your strength, also allows you to focus on your business and your business strength. And allows you to build resilience. And when you’re doing physical activities, mental resilience and being able to bounce back from any setback or challenge while you are trying to grow your business is ultimately another benefit. So some of the things that I’ve noticed and I’ve been working with business owners for over 15 years, very specifically agency owners over the last four, And I’ve noticed that the ones that are able to make huge leaps, like doubling, tripling, or even 6X-ing their revenue in less than 12 months, they’ve all had a common denominator based around being able to focus on fitness. And this is ultimately what allows you to lead yourself, which ultimately allows you to lead others. And when you focus on a healthy lifestyle, it has an impact on like team morale and motivation. and performance of teams. So it’s important to incorporate fitness into your daily routine. Here are a couple of different practical tips and a kind of integrating exercise into your busy schedule, such as morning workouts. One of the first things I do in the first hour of being awake is basically getting into, did I sweat today? And making sure I do that. You can have walking meetings if you’re in person or you have an office where you’re working with team members. Go on a walk while you’re having that meeting. You can also do desk exercises and also have some maybe lunchtime workouts. This allows you to kind of incorporate a fitness routine, but it’s important to understand that not everybody’s fitness routine is going to be the same, and so you have to find the right fitness routine for you. So I encourage you to experiment with different types of exercise that allows you to have and find the best fit for your lifestyle. your preferences and your goals. And I would really kind of encourage you to prioritize physical fitness as just a piece of the puzzle in order for you to have that long-term success in both life and business. So why is this important? Many times as entrepreneurs, we feel as though in order for our business to succeed, we have to sacrifice other areas of our life. And this is just not true. And if you were to embrace this fact that you could have a body that is on fire, a being that is spiritually connected to whatever you believe in, a balance, your relationships are being able to be intact, you know, with your spouse, your partner, your kids. And you could also have a business that’s thriving and making a large amount of money. And when you can embrace the fact that all four of these areas could be in abundance and all you need to do is just tap into it, you start to realize that you can achieve whatever you want to achieve. And you can have it all if you want to. So now it’s time for the daily leverage. So where in your world, more specifically in your body and your business, have you maybe been sacrificing one area of your life in order for your business to succeed? Is it in your life with your health and body? Is it in your life with your spirituality or self-direction? Is it in your relationships with your spouse, partner, or kids? Is it in your business, finances, or team? And once you’ve located where you’ve been sacrificing one area of your life in order for your business to succeed and you know what you need to change, my question to you is this, what are you willing and able to do about it today? That is the end of the daily leverage. This is Jesse B. Gilmore. You’ve been listening to Leverage for Growth podcast.
