This example shows the power of a testimonial over a quick summary. How can you use client testimonials to make your message to prospects more powerful?

So this morning I was doing my normal morning routine of stacking and I reflected on an experience that actually happened earlier this morning as well.

We had recently been trying different appointment setter to augment our outbound strategies. And one of the last appointments I booked was just not a good fit. Being in the niche that we are in and the specialty that we have, we actually say no to more people than we say yes to, especially when it comes to our one on one program.

So when the same appointment setter was asking if they could book a call with a new lead, I was skeptical. I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t wasting my time or theirs. So I decided to have the potential client watch one of our case studies of Susan before deciding to book a call with me before I get into the result of this.

Let me tell you a quick a story about Susan and her experience with me and our program. Now, before working together, Susan was spinning her wheels in her creative agency business. She had tried pretty much everything that the agency guru said about how to scale her agency. But nothing seemed to work. She was stuck without a way out, and it was beginning to impact her life outside of her business.

Scaling her agency felt like she was pushing a boulder up a hill, and she was at the point of whether she was going to, you know, turn her business around or she was going to close it. And so Susan knew how to get her clients amazing results, but she just didn’t know how to keep it simple in order to scale without burning out.

She reached out and actually gave us six months to turn her whole business around or she was going to close it. No pressure, Right? And the problem was, that Susan’s creative agency lacked a standardized approach to providing those services, which would give predictable results without getting stuck in kind of perfection. Everything that the agency gurus had told her just really made her lacking differentiation and predictability.

She was spinning your wheels and she didn’t see an end in sight. And she ended up joining the Leverage for Growth program, working one on one with me, focused exclusively on enabling her to regain control of her time, streamline operations for her teams, create a high ticket, offer filler pipeline, and then effectively scale her agency by the numbers.

She crafted a differentiated core offering and went back to the market, doubled her revenue, and then shortly afterwards, she was acquired by another agency. Can you open up your mind enough to allow Jesse to show you what the future can be like for your company? Where the day is not owned by your business after 5 p.m. or whenever you work. Where you can find this joy and take these challenges and run with it. So I think you really have to be the right person to work with Jesse because you have to be willing to be scared to see a future that maybe you could never even imagine.”

Powerful. Can you feel that power in the social proof of that statement? Now, that was way more impactful than me saying she was spinning your wheels. She gave me six months turn her agency around. We doubled her revenue using Leverage for Growth, and then she was acquired in 18 months. So the power of connecting through storytelling and sharing empathy is key to growing your business.

So why is this important? Now, many times as entrepreneurs, we’re focused on doing things that keep the business running. We may even develop great results for our clients. Yet how often are we asking for a case study or a testimonial? Or how often are we using stories like Susan’s to get people to pre-qualify themselves for our services? Something for you to ask of yourself.

So now it is time for daily leverage in your business. Specifically, ask yourself how can I use social proof, empathy, and the power of storytelling to enhance the connection with potential clients?
