Thanks for coming onto our show today. Oh, thank you for having me. It’s a pleasure to be here. Yeah, absolutely. Can you tell us, a little bit about you, the history in the background of your agency, adding real? Sure. ultra State Productions, is a Dallas based agency. we started four years ago, and my partner, myself, is known as Everett.

What’s the, we dabbled into the traditional models of marketing. And, you know, after so much for so many years of, you know, trying to develop a concept that seemed really, out of tune with what business owners really wanted, which at the end of the day is convenience. We, ended up finding ourselves and, and a place where we had a shop model which stands for, services, a product.

And, you know, many people are familiar of, services, a product, but find out they actually do know what it is, such as UberEats, you know, fiber, things like that. Reasons and sort of, get services from revenue around. So we sort of took those, we took all the deliverables and all the sort of services we can possibly provide and put them as products on, on, can be a UX website.

And we, you know, gathered, probably, you know, I would consider this, virus and we, yeah, we produce really great content for brands, agencies, and others who want to, you know, waitlists for services. Awesome. And, you had talked about, getting started about four years ago. What kind of led to the creation of Altered State Productions?

can you talk a little bit about kind of those initial stages of now we need to launch an agency? Oh, yeah. Oh, for sure. well, I, you know, I have, extensive background of, being, you know, an artist. visual media is sort of my forte. And bread and butter, and, my partner is a serial entrepreneur with multiple, businesses, and he’s also, and, the world of operations.

So, you know, at some point where we were both juggling multiple clients, and, we had a really great, group amongst us to, really, like, share assets, right. And share, the same sort of resources. and, you know, would we would work on a lot of, projects, whether it be for Samsung or it’d be for a live entertainment group.

you’d catch yourselves just naturally, hiring, like, the same, the same talented group. So, we’re just like, we just kind of naturally fell in place. you know, we sort of, like, looked at it and kind of, we realized that, hey, we are an agency. We just. Let’s just call it ourselves, you know, call it talk the talk right now.

And, you know, actually put the time, actually put the title on, and, market going forward as, Cool. And who’s kind of like your ideal client these days. Yeah. For sure. actually the majority of our clients are e-commerce. so from the retail side. so, you know, for cosmetics, face products, furniture, you know, home goods, the other side is services.

So from barbershops to eyebrow threading to, laser therapy, things like that. we also have recently, having some pretty well with, the service, service, entertainment space. So cool. from production, staging, things like that, or sort of, experimenting in those areas. we were kind of a catch all. If we can market it, we’re able to do it.

So it really doesn’t matter what industry. You’ll go. Go. and on the journey, you know, over the last 4 or 5 years or so, you’ve most likely learned kind of different things that you kind of wish you knew in the beginning. It’s like the nature of, owning an agency. if you were to, to kind of go back, and kind of give some advice to the people, that might be 1 or 2 steps, maybe before where you are right now.

what kind of advice would you give them? Oh, for sure. I wish, I had someone gave me some really great advice that would not only see me time, but quite a bit of money. I would I would advise to, remember, everything is not what it seems, especially when it comes to, the, you know, current landscape and social media.

we currently are models. currently, we don’t rely on social media as a form of source, as a source to, to game prospects. and you know what I mean by that is that it’s so easy to get lost in, like, seeing other people’s success on line. and then, like, allowing that to sort of play into how you perform or how, you know, how, how original you could possibly be.

and even putting too many resources on social media. it’s not it’s not the best play. So if I were to go back to my old self, I would say focus on on online presence of searchability right away. Like, if they can’t find you from your phone by just typing in certain keywords, like video production company near me and you know, like that’s that’s the golden ticket and that’s what you would want to do to kind of have a fast track, to a, a successful and long lasting, agency.

I think, I can say this, you know, I, I’ve met a lot of, people just in any sort of, industry that have sort of realize, yeah, you actually can find me just online, and that’s about 80% of users just go straight to the online search, search place. Right. And then they actually look for services near them or, they do their due diligence in researching and looking for a company like them.

So it’s more so trying to get matched up with the perfect customer is, is kind of, the game that you should be looking at right away just jumping into an agency. Awesome. And what is, success for you in the next like one, two, three years, like, what are you what are you guys working on?

at Altered State, for sure. I feel, you know, we, we feel pretty successful at the moment. And, you know, we’re we’re we’re counting our blessings. we’ve generated, over a quarter billion dollars. Brands and, businesses worldwide. we, what looks like success to us, honestly. it’s allowing it’s allowing career opportunity for others to really flourish within.

you know, within any vertical that they, they love and just experiment, experiment with, like, new media and be very innovative with new technology and, different campaigns and, you know, vibrations and you really see, like, what that can do. We we’re usually known to like, shake up and almost like invent campaigns. Right. So that kind of what stands us out.

So that’s what, you know, success looks like to me is if I, if I can possibly open that platform up a little bit more, to make it accessible for, more people, more people to sort of, dive into what they feel is their creative take inside of them and maybe we can, you know, teach something or do something about, each other, you know, but we we have the resources, but they may have, the brainpower that we that we don’t see from their angle.
