You are now listening to Leverage for Growth. Hey everybody, this is Jesse P. Gilmore, founder of Niche in Control and creator of Leverage for Growth. Welcome to the daily leverage edition. Today’s topic is this, fear of success. Sit back, relax, and welcome to today’s daily leverage. So this morning I was doing my morning routine of stacking and reflecting on a conversation that I had in one of the masterminds that I’m a part of around the topic of if we were to lose everything and have to start all over. Would we be doing exactly the same thing that we’re doing right now? Or would we change something? Would we change what we do for work? Will we change where we live? Or will we simply start over on the same path that we are on now? These questions sparked conversations throughout the group about our life in a business by design, what we would change. And I came to the conclusion that if niche and control all of a sudden was no more. I would start it all over again exactly as it is now. But I would get there quicker. I would get out of my own way, easier, faster, stronger. And you see, I’ve been dealing with and working through my own fear of success. Not something that people talk about too often. But in my past, I would build things and then through my lack of, or my own lack of awareness and confidence in myself, I would burn it all to the ground. And this build and burn pattern is something I’ve talked about before. And it comes up from past conditioning and past experiences that have led me to go in cycles if I’m not aware. But this time around, I am aware. I was nervous to share this with you in fear of being either judged or blamed or shown as unworthy. But I know that this is a part of all of us and what all of us as entrepreneurs must face at one point in our life. The question of why me? Why am I supposed to grow this company beyond what my needs are? The question that I have started to replace this with is, why not me? And if not me, who? You see, I have been conditioned for decades to think small, to fit within a box, to do what I am told, and to not be too much for others. I spent a lot of my life trying to regulate myself so that others would feel comfortable. that I wouldn’t be too extreme. I am done trying to regulate myself for others. I’m attacking this fear of success. And it is actually the root of the build and burn pattern. By being aware and attacking the stories of unworthiness, I am beginning to shift and realize that avoiding success does not serve me and does not serve anyone. I’m recognizing an old pattern of behavior that no longer serves me and I’m letting it go. in order to accept a new normal, which is abundant and prosperous. And by doing so, I open up to success through serving others in the most powerful ways. And you can do it too. So why is this important? Recognizing old patterns of behavior that show up and labeling them is the fastest way to remove their power over you. Here is a revelation and a quote from a stack that I did on the fear of success. When I came to realize that I’ve been avoiding success during a mastermind call, I could finally attack the story and the old pattern of behavior. I have decided that I am not going to avoid success, that I’m not going to burn all of this to the ground, that I’m not going to write a drama or tragedy, that I’m going to grow, that I’m gonna step into the limelight, that I’m going to move into success without hesitation. resistance, or even making my own obstacles. I’m going to simply embrace success into my life and welcome it. For I am in control of my destiny. I am in control of my life. I am no longer a victim of circumstance. I’m no longer in a pattern of lack, boredom, or scarcity. I’m in a place of ultimate power over my life. I am ready for the next chapter of the story called Scale. I’m ready for… project scale to happen and I am releasing all resistance to achieving unfathomable wealth and abundance. I am ready to live in the land of yes or no. You see, all of our clients have to come to a place of accepting abundance to flow to them because the systems and strategies that we implement allow them to achieve what they set out to achieve. And it’s just like what’s happening with the niche and control and leverage for growth as I apply the program to our own business. And after a while of implementing a method, you realize that the only limits that you have are actually your ability to dream. How big can you dream? And when success is knocking on the door, are you able and willing to open it and receive success when it is right there? So now is the time for the daily leverage. So where in your world, whether in your life or business, have you been afraid of succeeding? Is it in your life with your health or body? Is it in your life with your spirituality or self-direction? Is it in your relationships with your spouse, partner, or kids? Is it in your business, finances, or team? And once you’ve located where you’ve been afraid of succeeding and you know what you need to change, my question to you is this, what are you willing and able to do about it today? That is the end of the daily leverage. This is Jesse P. Gilmore. You’ve been listening to Leverage for Growth podcast.
