You are now listening to Leverage for Growth. Hey everybody, this is Jesse P. Gilmore, founder of Niche in Control, creator of Leverage for Growth, and the author of the agency owner’s Guide to Freedom, which you can find at nicheincontrol.com slash book. Welcome to the Daily Leverage Edition. Today’s topic is this, Countdown to Clarity, the three day shift from strategy to execution. Sit back, relax, and welcome to today’s Daily Leverage. So this morning I was doing my morning routine of stacking.

and reflecting on how there is a shift that happens as you get closer to a major milestone in your life. Something that you have been working towards for a long time. For me, it’s the upcoming book launch of the agency owner’s guide to freedom on Saturday, which is only three days away. And for you, it might be the rebrand of your company or hiring a key position within the company so you can focus on growth or taking time for yourself. Or maybe it’s even getting married or having kids.

Whatever the milestone is, as the date approaches, you start to adjust your thinking and mindset from that of strategy and planning to a mindset of execution. And when the time to that specific date gets less and less, you get closer and closer, you don’t have time to overthink or create new strategies. You just have to focus on execution. And this is where I am today.

In just three days, I will release my book, The Guide of Transformation for Many Agency Owners. This will get me one step closer to achieving my mission of serving one million entrepreneurs through my products and services. The podcast serves part of this purpose. The book will serve in a different way. As the date approaches, all the strategy, the planning that has gone into things like the manuscript, the fill-in on the orders,

The launch date itself, the integration of our offerings, the audio book, the website, everything. All of that planning has led to this moment where I am in the simple state of execution. Execution of the plan. Not overthinking, just executing. Because my number one strength, according to StrengthsFinder, is strategic thinking,

Jesse (02:38.506)
I can have a very hard time of letting go of overthinking or staying in strategy when I need to get into execution. And it’s good to know your strengths and weaknesses. Without being checked, I would simply spend too much time going back into strategic mode, and then the things I would actually need to get done would be done last minute. But not today, not now. Today, I’m creating the slides for Saturday’s presentation as we finish up the audiobook files.

And as I focus on what is right in front of me, I am humbled by my team that is working with me to achieve this milestone. By working on what I must do and making time for it, I’m filled with vision and perspective that I wouldn’t have any other way. Making time to simply execute the plan that has been years in the making. Everything has been building up to this moment, and I can’t wait to share this book with the world. It is my way of giving back to the world,

all the lessons that I’ve learned to this point and helping people. And the milestone is only three days away. Now, if you’ve not pre-ordered your copy of the Agency Owner’s Guide to Freedom, you can do so at shop.nitchingcontrol.com or nitchingcontrol.com slash pre-order. So why is this important? Many times as entrepreneurs, we spend a large amount of time strategizing the next move, playing chess. And we can be in…

like this planning stage for a long time, and get stuck in perfectionism, or waiting for the perfect moment to do something that we want to do or that we know we need to do. And this can lead us towards a state of overthinking, delaying, or resisting, which is meant to happen. This is a time, and there is a time, to simply make this shift from planning and strategizing to executing. And maybe that time for you is now.

Now it’s time for the daily leverage. So where in your world, whether in your life or business, have you been stuck in planning or overthinking and it has led you to delay what you know you must do? Is it in your life with your health and body? Is it in your life with your spirituality or self-direction? Is it in your relationships with your spouse, partner, or kids? Is it in your business, finances, or team? And once you’ve located where you’ve been stalling and you know what you need to change, my question to you is this.
