You are now listening to Leverage for Growth. Hey everybody this is Jesse P. Gilmore founder of Niche in Control and creator of the Leverage for Growth, welcome to the daily leverage edition.
Today’s topic is this “Embrace Simplicity, Create Space, Be Ready”. Sit back, relax and welcome to today’s daily leverage.
So this morning, I was doing my morning routine and reflecting on the last words of my former coach before we parted ways.
He said to “Embrace Simplicity, Create Space, Be Ready”
As business owners during the AI disruption that is happening with Chat GPT
We are in a state of increased complexity, constantly doing as much as we can, and not slowing down
We feel FOMO about AI and think that if we don’t pay attention and stay up to date with all of the changes and impacts that AI is having on our day to day lives
That we will be left out
Missing the party
Losing opportunities
In the increased complexity of the world right now, there is no better time than to get in touch with who you are and where you want to go in life
This is the perfect time to reduce the complexity
Give yourself the time and space needed to have clarity and certainty in your direction
Allow yourself to let go of preconceived notions of how something was supposed to be
To simply be in a state of simplicity
Allows you to be prepared for what is to come
We all don’t know where life will take us
We have ideas of where we might end up
But there is an unknown that requires us to slow down
To reflect
To assess where we are and where we want to be
If you have not given yourself the permission to slow down and assess where you are and where you want to be
I would like to give you that permission
Permission to be whoever you want to be
Permission to relax, stay calm, and create space
In that space, in that quiet, you will hear your inner voice provide you with the direction you have been seeking
The inner voice and intuition is something that a lot of us have shut out
Have neglected
In search of a new truth that is found externally
When in actuality, all that you have ever wanted and needed is found internally
We have just been too busy to notice
Today, I want you to simply ask yourself one question
How can I create more simplicity and space in my life?
If you want to dive deeper, ask yourself further questions like
What would I have to remove or eliminate in order to create more clarity in my life?
What could I get rid of that is adding unnecessary complexity to my life and business?
How can I take a break from the normal routine of life and my business so that I can have more space and time in between things?
In the last week of being back from vacation, this is what I have been doing
I have removed a mastermind that I was a part of but not receiving value from
I removed vendors that are nice to haves but not essential
I have removed softwares that are half used and not necessary
I have scaled down my team to me, Jeremy and two content marketing interns
I have created space in between my appointments so that I do not feel rushed
Even though I can only take half the new business meetings than early
I am consciously choosing to focus on quality over quantity
Quality of life
Quality of connection
Quality of experiences for me, my team, and my potential and existing clients
I am opening up more to our mastermind members and giving them direct access to me in ways that I had not done before
Why?
Because I want a life and business that means something
That feels good
That fulfills the part of me that got into business in the first place
Not to outperform or beat out competition
But rather to create a business that supports my life
Not a life that supports the business
These changes have allowed me to embrace simplicity, create space, and be ready for the next level of what is coming
I suggest you do the same
Now it is time for daily leverage.
Where in your world whether in your life or business, have you been increasing complexity and not having the space and time to slow down?
Is it in your life with your health or body?
Is it in your life with your spirituality or self-direction?
Is it in your relationships with your spouse, partner or kids?
Is it in your business or finances or team?
Once you have located where you have been needing simplicity and space and you know what you need to change.
My question to you is this…
What are you willing and able to do about it today?
That is the end of our daily leverage. This is Jesse P. Gilmore and you have been listening to the Leverage for Growth podcast.
